Contact profile: hero card, metrics, and tabs

Screenshot coming soon

The hero card

Avatar, name, email, and status badge, plus:

  • Resend opt-in email (if their status is pending)
  • Edit Profile
  • A ⋯ menu: Export Data, Unsubscribe, Delete Contact, Erase All Data

Three tabs

Five metric cards (Emails Received, Open Rate, Click Rate, Total Orders, Revenue), plus:

  • Contact Details: phone, date added, timezone, source
  • Inline-editable Custom Fields: pencil to edit, × to remove, "+ add field" to define a brand-new custom field on the spot (Text, Number, Date, Month & Day, or URL)
  • Private Note: visible only to your team, never to the contact
  • Audience Grouping: segments and tags, with quick add/remove
  • Consent Record: when they consented, via which form, their IP address, the opt-in method (single vs. double opt-in), and the exact consent text they saw at signup

Data & privacy tools

These live in the profile's ⋯ menu:

  • Export Data: downloads a JSON "Subject Access Request (SAR)" bundle covering profile, custom fields, tags, segments, consent record, activity history, and metrics. This is Peleka's answer to a GDPR Article 15 access request.
  • Unsubscribe: sets status to unsubscribed without deleting anything.
  • Delete Contact: permanently removes the contact record. This is different from erasure below (see the callout).
  • Erase All Data: a GDPR Article 17 ("right to be forgotten") flow. Requires checking a confirmation box acknowledging the erasure is permanent. Unlike a plain delete, this also scrubs logs and consent records, and permanently suppresses the email address so it can never be re-added to this workspace.

Delete vs. Erase: they're not the same

Delete Contact removes the contact record itself, but related logs and consent history may persist for audit purposes. Erase All Data is the stronger, GDPR-Article-17-grade action: it wipes everything tied to that person, including logs, and permanently blocks the address from ever being re-imported. Use Erase when someone has formally exercised their right to erasure.

See also Data subject requests for how this connects to Shopify's own GDPR webhook flow.
